Tubing pipes, on the other hand, are used to transport fluids from the well to the <a href=\"\/tag\/surface\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>surface<\/strong><\/a>. They are smaller in diameter and thinner than casing pipes.\n\nAPI 5CT casing and tubing pipes are available in <a href=\"\/tag\/different\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>different<\/strong><\/a> <a href=\"\/tag\/grades\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>grades<\/strong><\/a>, each <a href=\"\/tag\/with\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>with<\/strong><\/a> its own set of <a href=\"\/tag\/mechanical\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>mechanical<\/strong><\/a> <a href=\"\/tag\/properties\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><a href=\"\/tag\/proper\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>proper<\/strong><\/a>ties.<\/strong><\/a> These grades are <a href=\"\/tag\/design\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>design<\/strong><\/a>ated by letters and numbers, such as <a href=\"\/tag\/h40\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>h40<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"\/tag\/j55\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><strong> J55<\/strong><\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"\/tag\/k55\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>K55<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"\/tag\/n80\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><strong> N80<\/strong><\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"\/tag\/l80\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><strong> L80<\/strong><\/strong><\/a>, <strong> C90<\/strong>, <a href=\"\/tag\/t95\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>T95<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"\/tag\/p110\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><strong> P110<\/strong><\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"\/tag\/q125\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Q125<\/strong><\/a>, and <a href=\"\/tag\/v150\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>v150<\/strong><\/a>. The letter indicates the <a href=\"\/tag\/yield\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>yield<\/strong><\/a> <a href=\"\/tag\/strength\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>strength<\/strong><\/a> of the pipe, while the number indicates the minimum tensile strength.\n\nFor example, the J55 grade has a minimum yield strength of 55,000 <a href=\"\/tag\/psi\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>psi<\/strong><\/a> and a minimum tensile strength of 75,000 psi. This grade is <a href=\"\/tag\/common\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>common<\/strong><\/a>ly used in shal<a href=\"\/tag\/low\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>low<\/strong><\/a> <a href=\"\/tag\/wells\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>wells<\/strong><\/a> and has good <a href=\"\/tag\/resistance\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>resistance<\/strong><\/a> to <a href=\"\/tag\/corrosion\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>corrosion<\/strong><\/a>. On the other hand, the P110 grade has a minimum yield strength of 110,000 psi and a minimum tensile strength of 125,000 psi. This grade is <a href=\"\/tag\/suitable\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>suitable<\/strong><\/a> for deep wells and has <a href=\"\/tag\/excellent\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>excellent<\/strong><\/a> mechanical properties.\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.petroleumtube.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/J55-Tubing15.jpg\" alt=\"alt-788\" class=\"wp-image-788\" id=\"i788\" \/>\n\nIn addition to the grade, API 5CT casing and tubing pipes also have different <a href=\"\/tag\/specifications\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>specifications<\/strong><\/a>. These specifications include the outer diameter, <a href=\"\/tag\/wall-thickness\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Wall thickness<\/strong><\/a>, and <a href=\"\/tag\/length\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Length<\/strong><\/a> of the pipes. The outer diameter <a href=\"\/tag\/range\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>range<\/strong><\/a>s from 4 1\/2 inches to 20 inches, while the wall thickness ranges from 0.205 inches to 0.875 inches. The length of the pipes can be <a href=\"\/tag\/customized\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>customized<\/strong><\/a> <a href=\"\/tag\/according\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>according<\/strong><\/a> to the <a href=\"\/tag\/requirements\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><a href=\"\/tag\/requirement\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>requirement<\/strong><\/a>s<\/strong><\/a> of the well.\n\nAPI 5CT casing and tubing pipes are <a href=\"\/tag\/manufacture\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>manufacture<\/strong><\/a>d using <a href=\"\/tag\/seamless\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>seamless<\/strong><\/a> or <a href=\"\/tag\/electric\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>electric<\/strong><\/a> resistance <a href=\"\/tag\/welding\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><a href=\"\/tag\/weld\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>weld<\/strong><\/a>ing<\/strong><\/a> (<a href=\"\/tag\/erw\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>erw<\/strong><\/a>) <a href=\"\/tag\/process\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>process<\/strong><\/a>es.
